Ensuring Pictures: The Peer-to-Peer Exhibition

The Concourse Gallery at Emily Carr University of Art+Design is presenting “Ensuring Pictures: The Peer-to-Peer Exhibition”  as part of the Capture Photography Festival.

“Capture has commissioned an exhibition at Emily Carr’s Concourse Gallery; curator Emmy Lee has invited established photographers to nominate emerging talent in a showcase of lens-based art that will explore a diverse range of themes and techniques. The selected emerging artists are based in Los Angeles, Paris/Geneva, Vancouver and Victoria and their work demonstrates the expansive possibilities the media currently represents.”

The emerging photographers in the show are: Ali Bosworth (nominated by Jim Breukelman), Laura Dutton (nominated by Vikky Alexander), Marten Elder (nominated by Jeff Wall), Peter Holzhauer (nominated by Mark Ruwedel), and Marion Tampon-Lajariette (nominated by Mark Lewis).

The opening reception is October 4 from 6-9pm and an artist talk will be given on October 5th from 1-2pm.
