1879 Powell St. Vancouver
Known for his comic book aesthetic and disjointed humorous narratives, Mark Delong’s new ceramic work uses a primitive visual language to explore sculptural realizations of childlike animations. Along with anew earthenware egg, Delong includes a sculpture made of ceramic, wood and a sea urchin. Also on view are small collage works and large scale airbrush drawings.
Born in 1978 in Fredericton New Brunswick, self taught artist Delong has had numerous solo and group exhibitions including Ed Varie Gallery in New York, Hunter and Cook Gallery in Toronto and Perugi Contemporary Art in Italy. Delong currently lives and works in Vancouver, B.C.
